During our Hari Raya long weekend in the March holidays, we visited a newly opened cat cafe at Johor Bahru Bukit Indah – Inuyama Cat Cafe. It’s about a 6 minute drive from Aeon Bukit Indah and 20mins from the checkpoint, making it a perfect place to hang out as a family before your grocery shopping!
Once we arrived at the cat cafe, we noticed it had a Japanese floral theme. It was very pink and romantic, making it a great spot for couples to have a sweet date too.

Inuyama Cat Cafe in Johor Bahru
According to the owner, they have more than 30 cats of various breeds. When we visited in the morning, there were more than 10 cats in the cafe, while some were not present. But honestly, that was more than enough to keep my kids entertained for those two hours.

Before we went in, we had to sanitize our hands, change into the sandals provided, and the staff taught the kids how to interact with the cats responsibly. But I still feel it’s our parents’ responsibility to keep an eye on our kids, ensuring they don’t chase the cats and handle them gently.

They have a beautiful swing at the back of the cafe where you can take photos with the cats. Some cats like to jump onto the swing and rest there.

They have a small ball pit on the right side, in the middle of the cafe, meant for young kids to play. For example, Didi was initially a bit scared of the cats, so he just played and hid inside the ball pit. After a while, when he warmed up and realized that the cats were friendly and gentle, he eventually came out and started playing with them.

Entrance Price of Inuyama Cat Cafe
The entrance ticket to Inuyama Cat Cafe costs RM35 (~S$10.60) for 1 hour and RM45 (~S$13.60) for 2 hours per adult, and RM25 (~S$7.60) for 1 hour and RM35 (~S$10.60) for 3 hours per child. Adult tickets come with a complimentary fruit drink worth RM12.90 (~S$3.90).
They also sell cat treats at RM5 per treat.

They also serve small bites at the cat cafe. We had coffles (RM18.90 ~ S$5.70) in Lotus, Oreo, and KitKat flavors. Personally, I loved the Lotus flavor, definitely a must-try!
Tip: It’s best to hold onto your croffles while eating, or the cats might enjoy your snack for you!

Overall Experience
Personally, I love the spacious environment that allows both cats and humans to roam freely. They also created a small cat hole, out of our reach, where the cats can drink water, rest, and pee without being disturbed. At least they are taking good care of the cats’ well-being!

I also like that they have many cats of different breeds, allowing the kids to learn about various cat temperaments. Some breeds or individual cats are more playful than others, so the kids can enjoy playing with the energetic ones while leaving the quieter cats alone. So I’m glad that all of us got to play with the cats, no need to “fight” for them!
